News from our Partnership with TU Munich
As an associated partner of the Institute for Robotics and Machine Intelligence (IRMI) at the Technical University of Munich, we are pleased to announce some good news. Science Minister Markus Blume stated the following at the Cabinet meeting on July 12, 2022:
“As a third measure, we decided today in the cabinet to strengthen an application project of the Technical University of Munich in the field of geriatronics and to establish a dedicated campus for it in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Geriatronics is about leveraging the possibilities of robotics and state-of-the-art assistance systems to serve older people and care. Simultaneously, an Artificial Intelligence mission is launching there. In this way, teaching, research, and application are uniquely combined. We aim to demonstrate that new technology can enable people to live a self-determined life for longer. A technology that serves people in the best sense – that is what we intend to achieve in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.”
Due to its core competence in 3D anatomy, CAT PRODUCTION GmbH has been an associated partner of the institute since the project’s inception in 2018.
