“… our new special exhibition “Save Me! Humanity as a Motor: From the Red Cross to Art” experiences a significant enrichment through your loans. Many visitors are particularly positively surprised and enthusiastic about the virtual body worlds.”
Veronika Kollek – Research Assistant Department 5 | Administration Museums Penzberg
We are pleased to be part of the exhibition “Save Me! Humanity as a Motor. From the Red Cross to Art” at the Museum Penzberg. From July 16 to October 31, 2022, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the German Red Cross, a multifaceted review of the history of the medical service will be made possible, the bridge to the current work of the DRK will be built, and an outlook into the future of science and medicine will be given.

And this is where we come in, because virtual body worlds are making an increasingly important contribution to healthcare. The exhibition shows medical models and animations and also enables a virtual journey through the human body. Through this type of visualization, patients gain an understanding of their individual diagnostics and, at the same time, human anatomy is generally conveyed and their own body awareness is strengthened. In this way, virtual body worlds enable a complete all-round experience. A modern and vivid mix of science, medicine and art.

A deeper insight into our work will be granted at the “Art & Wine in the Museum” event series on Thursday, October 15, 2022. The focus on this date is “Virtual Body Worlds” with Freia Oliv and Johannes Atze.
