MediFacts – Animated Clips Concisely Explain Medical Keywords

Human medicine is primarily concerned with the prevention, detection, and treatment of diseases. The starting point is always the human body. Knowing the essential areas of the human body not only helps you understand your body better, but also helps you understand your doctor much better during your next visit to a practice. Much in medicine can be easily explained through visualizations and animations. This is precisely the approach of MediFacts. Medical keywords are explained memorably with very short clips.

So far, we have produced six episodes on the topics of skeleton, knee, heartbeat, embolus, and knee osteoarthritis. More are in preparation. The main components of human anatomy are illuminated concisely with 3D animations. In a few seconds, knowledge about the nature of humans is conveyed, which sustainably improves everyone’s health literacy.

It should be emphasized that two episodes of our MediFacts were completed in the summer of 2022 as part of a student internship by female students from a Munich and a Garmisch grammar school. After we went through the individual steps of a production with them, they developed texts synchronously to the animations for the MediFacts Embolus and Knee Osteoarthritis. Afterwards, they recorded the texts and then set the clips to music.
