Project workflow for a project with CAT MEDIC
In order for us to approach your topic, you must first tell us something about your field of expertise and explain exactly what you have in mind.
Only when the process coordination has taken all parameters into account can a final calculation be carried out, which triggers the offer. Once the order has been placed, implementation of the project begins, accompanied by close coordination with interim acceptance procedures and ending with the handover of the project.
Here again, a brief overview of the important project steps from the idea to the project completion:
- First non-binding consultation
- Project description/ storyboard
- Project calculation
- Project coordination
- Offer
- Commissioning
- Interim acceptances
- Project handover
And how much does it cost?
…that may be the wrong question. When it comes to the decision-making process, the question is more likely to be: How much can the whole thing cost?
Before reaching this point, it is first necessary to know which problem you want to communicate your solution for, for which target group, using visualisations and/or animations. The point is always that problems and solutions are very difficult to explain with words alone and require long texts, whereas an animation or visualisation can do so in just a few seconds.
We have had the best experiences in the following areas: training, pharmacy, medical technology, prevention, publications, scientific studies, patient education.
How do we arrive at a finished visualisation?
Well, this process can be broadly divided into four steps:
Step 1: Let’s talk!
If you are in the Munich area, you are welcome to visit us for a cup of coffee at our offices.
During this initial consultation (whether in person or online), we will clarify the classic W questions:
- What should be visualised?
A product? A mode of action? An exercise/movement sequence? A complete surgical procedure or just a specific step in the procedure? A physiological process? An injury? As you can see, the range is vast! - Who is the recipient?
Or, to put it simply, who should the visualisation be aimed at? Medical professionals? Non-medical professionals? Customers? Salespeople? - What is the purpose of creating the visualisation? Or, to put it more simply, what is the goal of the visualisation?
Information? Sales? Explanation/learning support? - Where is the visualisation displayed/used?
At trade fairs? On the internet? At lectures? In class or through self-study?- This always raises the question: should the visualisation be accompanied by audio, i.e. narration?
- How should the visualisation be presented technically?
On screens or mobile devices? In VR headsets? As stereoscopic images or videos? As an interactive (real-time) application? - What is the maximum cost of the visualisation and by when must it be completed?
Step 2: On your marks, get set, go…
Once all questions from step 1 have been clarified, we will create an initial visualisation proposal, including a cost calculation. Nothing is set in stone at this stage! The final script will be developed based on this initial proposal in a back-and-forth process with you. This ensures that the script meets your requirements and is accurate in terms of content.
Step 3: … go!
Are you satisfied with the script and (if required) the voice-over texts, have all technical parameters been clarified, and does the cost calculation fit within your budget? Wonderful, then nothing stands in the way of production!
As soon as you give the go-ahead, we will start up our production machinery.
Step 4: Production
We break down the script into manageable steps, organise the voice recordings (if necessary), model all the objects that are needed, create the necessary scenes and animate everything precisely to match the voiceover text. Interim results are sent to you, the client, for approval on a regular basis. This ensures that we have understood everything correctly and that the final result meets your expectations!
Enthält Ihr Projekt eine Programmierung? Diese findet parallel zur Produktion statt und wird ebenfalls in die Abnahmeschritte integriert.
Step 5: Done!
Once all work has been completed, you will receive the final project in the agreed format.
We always welcome your feedback on the progress of the project and your evaluation!
Let us visualize your project as well. From target group definition and storyboarding to 3D construction and a final training session, we accompany each project individually from the start..
