Our Company History
1993: Founding of CAT PRODUCTION
The core team of CAT PRODUCTION has been working together since 1993. As one of the first authorized dealers and users of 3D Studio (the predecessor of 3ds MAX) – a 3D animation software – we were able to acquire a lot of know-how about 3D animations early on. During this time, we started with initial animation jobs, became a sales partner of Autodesk and a training center for 3D Studio.
1996: Founding of the sales and training division CAT SALES GmbH
Based on the cooperation with Autodesk, the sales and training division was spun off into the newly founded CAT SALES GmbH. The customers benefited from the high level of expertise, which was further cultivated through the collegial cooperation between CAT PRODUCTION and CAT SALES GmbH.
2006: Sale of CAT SALES GmbH
2009: CAT PRODUCTION focuses on medicine
Not least due to an exclusive contract with Springer Medizin , the foundation is laid for the realignment towards medicine.
2014: CAT PRODUCTION becomes CAT PRODUCTION GmbH
With the founding of CAT PRODUCTION GmbH, the company was also realigned. In addition to the constant further development of a medically and biomechanically correct 3D anatomy, interactive applications on medical topics are also being developed. CAT PRODUCTION is now involved in several research projects with the TU Chemnitz, the University of Bremen, the TU Munich and the LMU Munich, which primarily involve virtual reality projects in medicine. In this way, we not only enable our customers to create precise and informative animations and visualizations of the human body, but also to provide scientific support from the project idea to the finished product.
