Our core competence is medical visualizations, 3D animations and storytelling. We have been developing 3D animations since 1993 and offer our customers many years of know-how and the latest technology.
It is important to us to tailor even difficult medical issues to your target group. The basis of our work is one of the most accurate biomechanical and medical 3D models of the body. In this way, we always develop precise 3D animations, medical illustrations and 360 degree journeys through the body for our customers.
We have already worked with well-known publishers, pharmaceutical companies and medical technology companies, as well as various ministries at federal and state level. Always with the aim of providing modern and precise 3D animations, images and prints. We are also the right contact for training institutions and agencies.

2025: Quirin Münch becomes sole Managing Director of CAT PRODUCTION GmbH
On June 1, 2025, Quirin Münch will take over the sole management of CAT PRODUCTION GmbH. In doing so, the company is setting the course for future-oriented development, while long-standing Managing Director Johannes Atze will continue to support the company as a consultant with his extensive experience.
A further step towards closer cooperation: CAT PRODUCTION GmbH and QM Interactive GmbH are now sharing premises in Kistlerhofstrasse. This spatial proximity is also reflected in the projects – the overlaps are growing, synergies are emerging and both companies are increasingly benefiting from each other.
With this structural and personnel change, CAT PRODUCTION is strengthening its position and creating ideal conditions for innovative projects and joint growth.
2024: New on the management board: Quirin Münch joins CAT PRODUCTION GmbH
With Quirin Münch, Managing Director of QM Interactive, joining the management board on November 1, 2024, CAT PRODUCTION GmbH is sending a clear signal for future viability and the active involvement of the next generation. His expertise and experience will provide new impetus for the further development of the company – both strategically and technologically.
The close integration with QM Interactive, which specializes in innovative, digital educational media, gamification and the development of serious games, is particularly promising. This connection creates valuable synergies and makes it possible to explore new, creative avenues together – particularly in the areas of preventive healthcare, digital learning formats and playful applications for the healthcare sector that motivate users in the long term.

2014: CAT PRODUCTION becomes CAT PRODUCTION GmbH
With the founding of CAT PRODUCTION GmbH, the company was also realigned. In addition to the constant further development of a medically and biomechanically correct 3D anatomy, interactive applications on medical topics are also being developed. CAT PRODUCTION is now involved in several research projects with the TU Chemnitz, the University of Bremen, the TU Munich and the LMU Munich, which primarily involve virtual reality projects in medicine. In this way, we not only enable our customers to create precise and informative animations and visualizations of the human body, but also to provide scientific support from the project idea to the finished product.
1996: Founding of the sales and training division CAT SALES GmbH
Based on the cooperation with Autodesk, the sales and training division was spun off into the newly founded CAT SALES GmbH. The customers benefited from the high level of expertise, which was further cultivated through the collegial cooperation between CAT PRODUCTION and CAT SALES GmbH.
2006: Sale of CAT SALES GmbH
2009: CAT PRODUCTION focuses on medicine
Not least due to an exclusive contract with Springer Medizin , the foundation is laid for the realignment towards medicine.
1993: Founding of CAT PRODUCTION
The core team of CAT PRODUCTION has been working together since 1993. As one of the first authorized dealers and users of 3D Studio (the predecessor of 3ds MAX) – a 3D animation software – we were able to acquire a lot of know-how about 3D animations early on. During this time, we started with initial animation jobs, became a sales partner of Autodesk and a training center for 3D Studio.
